Renee Wassermann Good Habits Speech Therapy

Hello, I'm Renee

I'm the principal Speech Pathologist here at Good Habits Speech Therapy. I was born and raised in the beautiful South-West of Western Australia. Having grown up in Bunbury, I have a deep understanding of the local culture, community needs, and unique challenges faced by individuals in this region. This has shaped my approach to therapy, allowing me to connect with my clients while delivering tailored and effective care. I am passionate about helping individuals of all ages achieve their communication and swallowing goals, whether it’s supporting children with AAC, assisting adults recovering from stroke or brain injury, or providing therapy for those with language and cognitive difficulties.

I am a neuroaffirming speech therapist who celebrates neurodiversity and supports each person in a way that respects their unique strengths, communication styles, and identities. I believe in creating a safe and supportive environment where all clients feel seen, heard, and empowered.

With years of experience in community, schools, aged care, and private practice, I bring specialised knowledge in adult swallowing, cognitive communication, speech and language disorders, and AAC. I take a person-centred approach, working closely with clients and families to develop therapy plans that are tailored, realistic, and meaningful.

I am committed to ongoing professional development, ensuring that I am always using the latest evidence-based techniques and technologies to support my clients on their journey toward improved communication and safe enjoyable mealtimes.I am also a fully certified member of Speech Pathology Australia, the nationally recognised body for Speech Pathology.

I consider it a privilege to be able to help people find their voice and improve their quality of life. I look forward to continuing to serve my community and make a positive impact in the lives of those I work with.
